What alto sax reed to buy for a beginner?
My nine year old daughter is keen to learn the alto sax and i would be grateful for a little advice regarding appropriate mouthpieces and reeds for an absolute novice. The sax i’m looking at is a yamaha yas 275. Thanks in anticipation.
Hey there, my very first reed was a 1 and a half Vandoren Alto Saxophone Reed which is really good. I have always kept the same mouthpiece that came with my Sax originally, so I personally don’t think that it is necessary to buy a new one.
