I have a question involving a bass clarinet?
Does anyone have any useful tips or techniques on how to beat the C's in a clarinet low?
It absolutely requires that the clarinet is the perfect fit – a condition that very few bass clarinet stay long. There are no secrets fingering technique or breath – if you can hit high then uses the same technique (fingering is different) for the C above it. On the side positive – are often not required to play so high, except to show scale. That camp sounds much better in a soprano clarinet – our low is low for reproduction. ☺
