How to change the batteries in a Fender Starcaster?
Well here's my problem, I have a Fender Starcaster, and I have to change batteries. The only problem is, I can not find where batteries go! I tried searching the Internet, but almost all said that there is a compartment or whatever you can open easily, but too bad my guitar does not have one of those compartments. Help please? Well, then I have a problem, my guitar is making no type of sound to the amplifier, the tuner is not working for it.
I did an extensive search of the 'net, and as far as I know, NEVER Starcasters had batteries in them. If you email me the link on the website that mentioned changing the battery in a Starcaster, I'll try and contact you, but for now … Some guitars have what is known as "active" pickups, which require one or two betteries. These guitars tend to be middle of the instruments high-end, and went to a Fender sound specalized Starcasters-not falling into any of these categories. Some acoustic guitars have pickups are built into them, and often has a pre-amplifier board, but again, I can not find any acoustic Starcaster these characteristics. 76 ot '82, Fender made Starcaster call-guitar. It was an electric Hollowbody, but probably did not have active pickups. Fender has recycled the name for a line of instruments for beginners low cost, none of which have active pickups, either. All this is really good news for you, "the vast majority of guitar does NOT have active pickups, and not need them. Active pickups are very specific to a sound, if you decide you want that sound great, but keep in mind, probably 90% of the most famous guitarists (which Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix, Chet Atkins, Mark Knoffler, Joe Satriani, Eddy Vanhala, etc, etc ad nauseam) all do / was limited to well without active pickups. The end result: Starcaster guitar has a 99.9% chance of not having a Bettery, and you, as a guitarist, a 99.9% chance of not needing a guitar to do so.
